anyone who makes me laugh hard enough to a) hurt my stomach, b) make me pee just a little bit (that's also a post menopause thing but still) and c)go find my wallet in the newest clever place that I have put it in my own particular clown show so that I won't lose it so that I could pay to subscribe, is someone worth befriending as a writer. Loves it.
Classic Ask Molly. Just what the doctor ordered. Take one Ask Molly in the morning. Don’t call me or text me. Make an actual appointment for a follow-up, because even Canadian Doctors need to get paid. Except in Canada I don’t pay my doctor, my government does.
that whole bit about tiktok and how you regulate yourself spoke to me, I've always done that too and no one ever seems to understand or connect with it. Do you know how many salamanders I've tried and failed to explain it to that if I try to *force* myself to stop playing Candy Crush or watching nothing but Veronica Mars reruns that'll make it *worse*; that I have to let myself indulge until I'm disgusted by it and then I'll stop naturally?? your writing is often very validating but this one was special for me
Love this! Making new friends as an adult is challenging but so exciting and rewarding! (And also prompts informative internal reviews of one’s likes and dislikes etc)
I am most certainly not a salamander (most days!) ~ and also, someone at some point said you need to put in 150 of conversation or shared activity with someone to become friends and that you can't have more than 150 real friends at once. There's something wicked about that number.

I am laughing from beyond the grave. That is how dead I am, and I thank you.

Oh this might be a new favorite!
I snort laughed on the MUNI reading this. It was that good.

Pool salamander sounds like a keeper for sure
Absolutely delightful read.

What a goddamn delight you are!!
Thank you for making me laugh to myself, and then I also read the entire thing out loud to my husband and cried laughing.
It is a pleasure to hear your voice.
