Welp.

I deleted that last post! Thanks to the person who spoke up and said they didn’t like that it included a racist stereotype. I hear you. I was worried about that in advance, I thought about it, and I decided it was OK, but I was wrong. I’m a flawed human and even though this newsletter is all about, you know, tawdry shit and foolishness and my own very self-indulgent flights of fancy, I am firmly against throwing stuff out there that makes other people feel bad or reinforces shitty stereotypes. Thank you to everyone for your patience with this very odd experiment. I’m really enjoying it, and I want you to enjoy it, too, or it’s not worth my time.

Here’s something else I wrote about dealing with the death of a parent. Someone tweeted this out of the blue so I reread it just now and cried my eyes out. My dad died 25 years ago and yep, you never get over it.

More smut later! xo M

Oh! But I do want to make sure you read this amazing review of CATS by John Paul Brammer (@jpbrammer), who hasn’t actually seen CATS. I love his newsletter — he also gives great advice there. Go sign up! And thanks again for your continued tolerance and support.
