I spent the past few months reading Emerson for the first time since high school because it seemed like he might be an excellent corrective for the moment we’re in. You just summed up so much of what he was on about and so much of what I’ve learned from him quite nicely (and much more succinctly.) Thank you.
This is exactly what I needed. Everything seems so dumb in general, and it feels so intense at this time of year. I know it has much to do with not spending time in the sun watching birds and admiring trees. I'm so sensitive to cold temperatures. But knowing why doesn't make it any easier to endure.
