The way you dive into the absurdity of treating potato chips and cabbage with the kind of reverence usually reserved for fine wine is comedy gold. I particularly loved the bit about the "carnival of misery" that is the farmer's market, according to your hilariously misguided protagonist. Thanks for the chuckle and the reminder that sometimes, the tastiest food is also the "saddest"!

This post is perfect. I still have very fond feelings for the gas station, the only one in the entire city of Houston, I think, that sold All Dressed Ruffles.

Also I miss Cook Out so much I could cry sometimes.

Potato chip season here in the Northwest is July to coincide with clam dip and gin and tonic seasons. Our native Tim's chips are too sad in the dreary winter.
